A new adjustable bed targeted to the home market from Transfer Master Products offers the ultimate in convenience: it’s portable, adjustable, and can be assembled in under ten minutes – without tools.

During the week of March 3, 2010, there will be a rebirth of one of America’s most reliable adjustable beds. The Maxwell Kbed will be displayed in Booth #2535 at the International Sleep Products Association in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Aaron Goldsmith, President of Transfer Master Products, Inc. explained, "We were fortunate to be in the right place at the right time when Leggett and Platt, Inc. (LEG on the NYSE), downsized their adjustable bed division. Leggett offered the line to us and we grabbed it! We were able to acquire this legacy product with its outstanding reliable service record. We also acquired the rights to the Maxwell name."
"Our strategy was to master the manufacturing process, while quietly looking for a few customers that could grow with us. We partnered with one of the Internet’s leading adjustable bed marketers and with a specialty furniture producer. We successfully integrated this line into the company and we will be presenting the Maxwell Kbed to the rest of the world at the ISPA show in early March."
The Kbed remains one of America’s last domestically manufactured adjustable beds. This comfortable adjustable bed can be ordered with wireless dual massage as well as a simple wired hand control. Adjustable beds are often seen as home styled hospital beds for those suffering from mild medical conditions.

American Massage Products Adjustable Bed Division is back up and running! In July 2006, the factory closed its doors. Transfer Master Products, Inc., of Postville, Iowa, bought the rights to the name and the intellectual property. President Aaron Goldsmith explained, “We felt that this was great opportunity for our company and a good fit! We studied the beds, reengineered them and put the new improved beds back on the market!”
Scott Carpenter, American Massage’s New Show Director was filled with praise for the rebirth of the company. “We have shown the bed now in three regional shows and the response from our customers was outstanding. Despite competition and a slow economy, our New American Massage Beds have sold quite well! What the customers seem to most appreciate is the faithfulness of the new design to deliver a superb massage therapy.”
Carpenter added “American was always known as the premier adjustable bed for massage therapy. We see many competitive companies try to cheaply copy the feel of our therapy but our customers know better. Transfer Master has restored the quality, reliability and uniqueness to the American Line.”

Transfer Master Products, Inc. is happy to announce that they have successfully passed the new Consumer Product Safety Commission’s 16 CFR Part 1633 Mattress Open-Flame Standard Burn Test in June. The new standard went into effect July 1st of this year, making Transfer Master among the select manufacturers to have passed the test on their first attempt. “We are very excited,” announced Hall Swenson, Director of Production. “Our confirmed prototypes surpassed all burn standards.”
Aaron Goldsmith, President of Transfer Master remarked, “This is a rare accomplishment for a company of our size. Unfortunately, the new federal regulations continue to make it difficult for smaller companies to compete. It’s a credit to our staff that we were able to successfully meet these new standards.”

With this purchase, we are uniting two venerable names in the adjustable bed industry enabling us to better serve the diverse needs of our clientele.” Transfer Master Products, Inc. has been manufacturing and distributing custom-built, hi-low beds for 15 years in Postville, Iowa. American Massage Products, Inc. was formerly located in Silver Creek, NY. The operation has been relocated to Postville.
